If I'm not certain about having the disease, should I get the lab test. I was told by a doctor that it does not matter if you did not have the childhood disease. Is that true? Aren't I just giving myself chicken pox by having the vacine and how would that effect coming down with shingles simply from the vacine? Am I making sense? The outbreaks get less severe with each occurrance but they happen none the less! She is very fit and health otherwise, but the illness seems to occure after a bad cold, flu etc... The Dr. gave me Gabantine for anti-botic, and I got the vaccine about 4 weeks ago. I was feeling pretty good, sore off and on. Now both my elbows are so sore to bend, and my left side of my breast and side is very sensitive. Did the shot make me get it again or made it worse?
